What is the future of Europe like? To predict the future you have to know the past. From the idea of united Europe, thoughout its development to its present day reality, problems and predictions – these are the main aspects of the lecture given by Arnoldas Pranckevicius, Head of Representation in Lithuania at European Commission. The lecture ‘The New Era of Europe‘ attracted almost all the senior students of Palanga Senoji Gimnazija as well as some enthusiastic junior students and their teachers. Teacher Ausrine Janusiene, member of Erasmus+ team, invited the politician, who had never visited our school before but had herad a lot from its former students. And today Dovydas Zemaitaitis came to greet Arnoldas Pranckevicius, whom he had met as part of the project ‘Students in the Government‘. The guest is confident that our school has many talented young people who will greately contribute to the development of united Europe.
The lecture was a perfect summary of the whole two-year-long experience of Democracy, a great opportunity for all the students and the teachers to test themselves and continue learning because Democracy requires life-long education and attention.
